Beginning in June of 1916, its goal was to establish an independent Arab state from Yemen in the south all the way to Syria in the north . The revolt gave rise to ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and was rather beneficial to the British as it significantly contributed to the collapse of the Othtam Empire’s reign over the Middle East.
